However, as you mentioned above, even Photoshop isn't really able to handle animated gif's in a great way. I hope that Affinity will stay on this path and won't become so complicated as Adobe - what doesn't mean that you shouldn't add any features! Nevertheless I love the idea of Affinity to make things more easy. I used Adobe for many years and am also an official Adobe Certified Expert. Clearly there are those like who want to make animated gifs and do it all within one application. However that does not mean I am discouraging you from adding your voice to any of the feedback and suggestion threads and so I would say thank you. Future versions, like version 2 would be another purchase and so it is not right to encourage you to buy this one because of what may be added in another version you would still have to buy again. We have also added some things in 1.5 and 1.6 that were not on that roadmap, but sometimes we manage expectations and admit that for version 1 at least you should not hold your breath. We have promised other features that will come in free updates to this version, and so with the current features you can see if this software is right for you. We do not claim (or at least try really hard not to claim) to replace any other application. When people buy our applications with the expectation that it is the same as another companies application they can get frustrated. I’ve tried using the ping-pong feature multiple times, with multiple different captures, and after restarting the app and my computer, but the problem seems to happen everytime for me.We are not aiming Version 1 of Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo at this particular part of the market, so it does not have the feature, sorry. **alternatively ping-pong sometimes has the problem of creating a hiccup at the peak of the gif where a handful of frames are missing at the beginning of the reversal, creating a gif that isn’t as smooth as I would like it to be. Within the preview everything looks great, but after exporting when the gif has reached the point of reversal, it will consistently play backwards 1) at a much quicker speed and 2) it will overshoot the starting point that I’ve selected to further back in the capture (if the portion I’ve selected for the gif doesn’t begin at the beginning of the capture). The one problem I’ve had that is supper annoying comes when I’m trying to export a gif that set to the Ping-Pong Loop-Type. The capture aspect works great and I’ve had no issues, I especially love that it will keep screen recordings until I delete them. I didn’t see an option in-app to report bugs so I’m doing it here.
